They don't have a GUI to add mods, but doing so from Steam is simple (there's a text field where you enter the mod IDs, one per line mod IDs are in the mod's URL). There's an option to schedule regular restarts. I strongly suspect that's more of a SE thing, though.
I have had to reboot the server (which takes about 2 minutes) a couple of times to resolve issues with desync or subgrids acting bizarrely (eg., a solar mast drifting away even though the rotor was still attached). I've had contacted support a couple of times (I totally misunderstood something, and there was some awkward documentation that led to a miscommunication) both times, their support was fast and handled by real people.
